Google turns 10, how it changed our lives…

So Google (you know, the search engine) turned 10 on Sept 7th. Yahoo via Mark Hachman of ExtremeTechhas an great piece on what it has brought to what must have been such a dull experience before it was here. I mean, what were we doing with those 20 hours of our day before we were clicking search and watching YouTube?

Ten years ago, I sat next to a filing cabinet of press releases, notes, presentations, and financial documents. My crappy Compaq 386 notebook chugged away on my desk. And someone down the hall—I think it might have been Will Wade of EE Times—told me to check this new site out. So I did. Damn.
